JOB DESCRIPTION
POST TITLE : Systems and Applications Specialist
SALARY SCALE : Points 18 to 19 on the College Payscale

GENERIC PURPOSE OF POST
To provide high-quality efficient and effective non-teaching support, assisting with the promotion of opportunities for learning thereby enabling all learners to achieve to the best of their ability. All staff are expected to support the College’s commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
JOB ROLE PURPOSE OF POST
To provide technical support and maintenance for desktop and key applications.
COLLEGE RESPONSIBILITIES
In addition to the generic responsibilities referred to above, all colleagues employed directly in support of assisting with the provision of the teaching and learning experiences of students at Stratford upon Avon College are expected to undertake the following College related responsibilities.

JOB ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Professional/Technical/Procedural Knowledge

HOURS OF WORK
The postholder will work 37 hours per week between the hours of 8.00am and 9.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am and 5.00pm Friday. There will also be a requirement to work Saturday mornings on a rota basis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

To provide technical support and maintenance for desktop builds, web presence and software systems and applications

Ensure the successful implementation, testing, development, distribution and ongoing maintenance of College software and applications

DETAILED TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES

To liaise with users of software during the planning, implementation and testing phases of introductions, upgrades or fixes

Analyze and design server and client applications architecture.

Design and maintain multi-tier integrated Communication Systems.

Guide and train the Servicedesk team in implementing client software roll outs.
