Margaret Dobson

Margaret is a self employed environmental adviser and trainer with 30 years experience of providing environmental advice and training.

On gaining her environmental science degree from Southampton University, Margaret took up employment in the water industry working as a pollution control officer. Through this work, she gained experience of environmental regulation relating to a wide range of organisations and sectors from farming to the chemical industry.

Having an interest in training, Margaret undertook part-time qualifications in adult education and over the last 15 years she has put these to use in her current work as an environmental business adviser and trainer. She assists businesses and other organisations with good practice in environmental management including implementation of environmental management systems such as ISO14001. Margaret is a member of Environmental Adviser Panel for the government funded Envirowise Programme and is the lead trainer and specialist environmental verifier for the qualifications of the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM). She is also a full member of ILM and the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA).
