Gordon Brown with City College Coventry's Senior Management team
On Friday 23rd April UK Prime Minister, Gordon Brown visited City College Coventry.
The Prime Minister spent 90 minutes at the college, touring the college facilities and talking to many of the construction and motor vehicle engineering apprentices who study there.
Mr Brown complimented the college in a rousing speech. He said, “I want to congratulate City College Coventry. 10,000 students, a £60 million investment, some of the best students I’ve ever seen, a great students’ union, great staff and great teachers. Let us all congratulate City College Coventry on its great achievement.”
City College Coventry (founded in 1832) has formed a collaborative partnership with Stratford-upon-Avon College (founded in 1877) known as the ‘Heart of England International Academy’. In forming this partnership, the two colleges combine experience and commitment to provide an impressive portfolio of courses and enhanced student guidance and support. Both colleges have been welcoming international students to the UK for many years and have a long tradition of enabling students to attain qualifications to gain entry in to UK universities.
