Taylor Wimpey’s very own Bob the Builder – senior site manager at The Hathaways in Stratford-upon-Avon – took time out of his busy schedule to share expertise with the workforce of the future.
Students training for their Level 2 Diploma in Bricklaying at Stratford-upon-Avon College came to the development, along with lecturer Alan McDermott, to hear a talk by Bob Parker about building processes and health and safety – which are both elements of their course.
Bob, who has worked in the building trade for 43 years, says: “Our development at The Hathaways may be Stratford’s newest neighbourhood, but we’re already enjoying playing a big role in the wider community and I was delighted to be invited to give local bricklaying students a greater understanding of the building industry.”
“We take pride in employing time-honoured skills alongside the best modern materials, ensuring that the homes we are building are the highest standard. Sharing these processes and keeping our sites safe for those who work there and for the local community, is very important to us.”
The Hathaways is an exclusive collection of two, three and four-bedroom new homes in Stratford, attractively laid out within a peaceful and beautifully landscaped community.
The new homes|, which include spacious terraced, semi-detached and detached houses, all are completed to a high standard specification to include central heating, double glazing and fitted kitchen with integrated oven, hob and hood.
The Hathaways lies just off Bishopton Lane, near The Avenue in Stratford, and the development is bordered by mature trees, hedges and green open spaces that give it a tranquil, semi-rural ambience.
A host of everyday amenities is on the doorstep, with local buses providing regular services to and from the town centre, and Maybird Shopping Park just a short stroll from home.
Commuters will appreciate that The Hathaways is only a short drive from the A46 Northern bypass for quick links to Leamington, Coventry and the M40 for London and Birmingham. Regular, direct rail services operate from Stratford station to London Marylebone and Birmingham Snow Hill, while Birmingham International Airport is a little over 25 miles away.
The area is also home to a choice of good schools for children of all ages, and a wide range of family attractions are within easy reach, including Blenheim Palace, the Cotswolds, Worcester, the Malverns and Warwick Castle.
Home-hunters can visit The Hathaways Sales and Marketing Suite, off Bishopton Lane, Stratford, CV37 0RJ, which is open daily from 10am to 5pm, and the Sales Executive can be contacted on 0845 072 6507.
