Tournament winners at the 5-a-side charity football tournament organised by BTEC National Diploma Business students in aid of Cancer Research UK.

BTEC National Diploma Business students raise over £170 for Cancer Research UK.

Six students on the course held a 5-a-side football tournament at Stratford-upon-Avon Leisure Centre in May and raised a total of £175.61 for Cancer Research UK. Mike Walton, Rakan Hummouri, Danny Mazic, Oliver Cross and George Charlton-Smith organised and ran the tournament as part of their coursework.

Richard Silcox, their Personal Tutor, commented, “I’m delighted that the hard work of the students has been rewarded by raising such an amount for Cancer Research UK. This is a charity that our business students regularly support. The students were responsible for planning and implementing all aspects of the event. It has given them the opportunity to apply what they have learned in the classroom to a real scenario.”
