Celebrating Apprentices at Unipart Logistics

A presentation event, organised by Unipart Logistics, was held on 24th February at their Cowley offices to celebrate the successes of their Apprentices.

The apprentices were presented with engraved pens as a thank you for all their hard work and achievements by Mike Varnom, Unipart’s Managing Director. Also present were Peter Rose, Unipart’s HR Manager, Assessors Lisa Dixon and John Morrison, and SBS’ Training Co-ordinator, Linda Gray.

Unipart Logistics has been employing apprentices through Stratford Business Services since 2004. It is hoped that Stratford Business Services will continue the Apprenticeship Programme with Unipart Logistics in the future.

Celebrating Apprentices at Unipart Logistics

Stratford Business Services, the business and training division of Stratford-upon-Avon College, offers a range of work-based learning opportunities for young people across a number of specialist areas. An apprenticeship normally takes up to two years to complete and individuals can therefore be employed in their chosen occupational area, whilst continuing their education at college. On successful completion of an apprenticeship, a level 2 qualification and technical certificate are rewarded. Individuals can then progress on to an advanced apprenticeship which is a further two years and leads to a level 3 qualification.
