
Ashley Shaw receives his award from the Academy patron Lord Thurso MP, Kai Reeves of Whyte & Mackay and AFWS president Roy Ackerman.
Ashley having studied Hospitality at Stratford-upon-Avon College progressed on to an apprenticeship| at the prestigious Claridge's before eventually becoming house manager at the Westbury which he has held for the last two years.
The Dalmore Award for Excellence, sponsored by Whyte & Mackay, is given to an outstanding personality in the UK hotel and catering industry, in recognition of his passion for hospitality and his work with college students.
Presented with the award on the 18th October, Shaw commented: "I'm ecstatic to win this award," he said, "I'm totally taken aback."
Ashley Shaw is just one of a number of Hospitality and Catering Alumni| having gone on to work for prestigious hotels, restaurants, and famous individuals.
