Politically Minded Stratford-upon-Avon College Students Question MP Nadhim Zahawi and MEP Malcolm Harbour

Politically minded students at Stratford-upon-Avon College had the opportunity to put questions to the local MP and MEP when they both visited the campus recently.

Students attending the inaugural Stratford College Politics Society meeting had an opportunity to quiz Nadhim Zahawi MP| about a number of issues currently facing young people, such as tuition fees, the economy and youth unemployment, whilst also hearing about his political career and the inner workings of Westminster. The aim of the new Society is to get young people interested and engaged in politics at a local, national and international level.

Also visiting the college was local MEP Malcolm Harbour who was touring the college facilities| and he stopped by the Politics Society meeting and briefly spoke to students. Mr. Harbour MEP said he fully supported the project and hoped to speak more in depth to the society himself in the future.

More than 50 students attended the inaugural meeting and were invited to visit the Houses of Parliament by Mr. Zahawi MP.
