Sex, Drugs and Rock 'n' Roll at Stratford Business Services

Over 60 delegates from all over the country visited Stratford Business Services’ Cygnet Court premises for the National Dementia Conference, “Sex, Drugs and Rock ‘n’ Roll”, organised by the Hazel Ratcliffe Consultancy. Taking place on Tuesday 7th July, the all day event proved to be a huge success with a number of key guest speakers providing information to delegates on a range of topics concerning dementia.

This year’s conference focused on the issues of living with dementia, medication, relationships, intimacy and end of life care. It is estimated that there are currently around 700,000 people suffering from dementia in the UK. Stratford Business Services is therefore proud to be working with the Hazel Ratcliffe Consultancy for the second time to provide advice, information and guidance to the public about this illness.

Julie Weatherhead, Corporate Development and Projects Manager for Stratford Business Services, commented,” Stratford Business Services offers some exceptional facilities at Cygnet Court and so we are delighted to be hosting the national dementia awareness conference once again on behalf of the Hazel Ratcliffe Consultancy. We are proud to be playing a part in this important event to help people to deal with the issue of dementia.”

Stratford Business Services successfully hosted its first national conference on the topic of dementia back in October. Based on the success of this event, Hazel Ratcliffe chose Cygnet Court for ‘Sex, Drugs and Rock ‘n’ Roll’. The third dementia conference to be hosted by Stratford Business Services will take place on Friday 8th January 2010, entitled ‘Shall We Dance?’ This conference will focus on the following areas of dementia care: the five senses and the importance of paying particular attention to these with a person who has dementia; health, nutrition and exercise; and the critical importance of including complementary therapies in dementia support.

Stratford Business Services is becoming increasingly popular as a conference venue in Stratford. Based at the new and accessible Cygnet Court development and boasting spacious rooms, parking and highly competitive prices, Stratford Business Services will be hosting many more events on behalf of other organisations in the coming months.
