Stratford-upon-Avon College Students Artwork Selected by Royal Society of British Artists for inclusion in their 2012 Exhibit

‘Woman in a Fur Coat’ by Patrick Hands

Works of art from two former Stratford-upon-Avon College students have been included in a prestigious exhibition taking place in London at the end of this month (February).

Two pieces from Patrick Hands, entitled ‘Lady MacBeth|’ and ‘Woman in a Fur Coat|’ and a sculpture by Emma Glitheroe named ‘Startled|’ were selected by the President of the Royal Society of British Artists| for inclusion in their 2012 exhibit at the Mall Galleries near Buckingham Palace|.

“It was clear that Patrick and Emma were both very gifted and creative individuals with a particular talent for the visual arts|” commented Duncan Fenwick, arts lecturer/ Programme Area Manager for Art at the college. “Their first year portfolio was outstanding and both received full marks. To have work presented at such a prestigious exhibition is reward for their talent, application and endeavour in their two years with us.”

The exhibit opens on Wednesday 29th February and closes on March 10th
