Students from the Visual Arts Department at Stratford-upon-Avon College will be taking part in a ‘Photomarathon’ on Wednesday, 2^nd February.

This one-day photographic competition was first launched by the College’s Principal, Martin Penny, in 2009. The students will be given four themes to respond to throughout the day; two in the morning and two in the afternoon. The students have a deadline of 4 pm by which to submit their entries.

There will be a winner and runner up in each category. The overall winner will then be chosen and will win £50 worth of Nova vouchers, kindly donated by Ian Windebank of The Imaging Warehouse. Judging will take place on 9^th February and the winners will be announced on 16^th February. An exhibition of the winning images will take place at the College in a few weeks’ time.

The judging panel consists of Martin Penny, Ian Windebank from the Imaging Warehouse and Susann Phair, a local studio and portrait photographer. Each of the judges has supplied one of the themes with the fourth theme supplied by the Visual Arts team.
