Tourist Information Centre Endorses Stratford Herald's Visitor Guide

The Stratford Tourist Information Centre (Discover-Stratford.com), backed by Stratford-on-Avon District Council, has joined forces with the Stratford Herald to produce a brand new Visitor Guide publication.

The guide, which will be available from October, will be jointly branded and will bear the identities of both the Tourist Information Centre and the District Council. It will be a handy A5 size and its 52 pages will showcase the Stratford-upon-Avon District. It will contain a wealth of tourist-related information including visitor accommodation, attractions, food and drink, retail and much more. 30,000 copies of the publication will be distributed through Tourist Information Centres across the country with a further 20,000 copies distributed directly through the Centre at 62 Henley Street.

Peter Ward-Brown, Manager, Discover Stratford, explained, “Local businesses have made it clear that they need an official publication now to showcase their offer to visitors to the area. By joining forces with the Stratford Herald, it is has allowed us to do that in an ideal format with established distribution channels. Although it will mean that businesses will have to move quickly to book their presence in the guide, we believe that they will welcome this decision.”

Businesses wishing to book advertising space in the guide should contact Sharon Higgins on 01789 412808.

The Stratford Tourist Information Centre, a partnership between Stratford-upon-Avon College and Stratford-on-Avon District Council, was opened in May 2010.
