Well Being Week at Stratford-upon-Avon College

The week began with a visit from the Warwickshire Public Health Team, Chlamydia screening team, Meningitis Research Foundation and Connexions. Tuesday was Breast Cancer Awareness Day and this was supported by both staff and students wearing pink! Springfield Mind, Well Life Link and the Warwickshire Drug and Alcohol Action Team also visited the college. Wednesday saw a visit from the NHS No Smoking team and finally, the week ended with Young Minds visiting the college giving a talk on Mental Health.

Denise O’Shea, College Nurse commented, “Well Being week was a great opportunity to help keep our staff and students healthy. Information and guidance was available on a wide range of subjects and I am delighted that the week was supported by so many external organisations who visited the college each day. Well Being Week is part of the college’s comprehensive tutorial programme which addresses Every Child Matters and Citizenship.”
