Computing Services delivers, supports and aims to continuously improve all the College provided infrastructure, desktop, mobile computing and AV systems. Wherever staff are; be it within the Campus network, at home or on the move, we aim to keep pace with the growth of the College and the changes in technology to ensure reliable and resilient services to all staff and students alike.

Organisationally, the department is divided into functional teams, either based on location or skill set, the latter playing a considerable role in defining the scope of responsibility of the teams. As with all Computing Services the provision is layered along the following lines:

• Physical infrastructure; the cables and switches that make up the network
• Network services; comprising the servers and services to which the PCs connect
• The PCs, laptops and peripherals; such as printers, scanners, PDAs, experimental equipment
